Havana’s herbal peach tea frozen ice pops with crushed fruit

(A recipe excerpt from the book Organically Raised Conscious Cooking for Babies and Toddlers by Anni Daulter with Shante Lanay, currently available for sale in our retail shop)

These tasty treats are great for teething babies, as the cold soothes their sensitive gums. You can make so many variations of these ice pops based on your baby’s ability to chew and what flavors you want to experiment with. Remember that herbal tea is not actually a tea; it is similar to flower infusions. Herbal teas are safe for your baby and contain no caffeine.

Makes 16

5 organic herbal peach tea bags

1 cup of raspberries, chopped very small

6 cups of hot water

1 tablespoon mint, chopped very small

1. Bring the tea bags and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce the heat, add the raspberries and mint, and simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes. Transfer it to ice-pop molds.

3. Place the molds in the freezer. Serve the ice pops when frozen.

Note: This recipe contains no refined sugar.
